New Deadlock heroes
Ordered by the patch that made them playable
The newest playable Deadlock hero is Apollo, added in the patch of 12 February 2026. This page lists heroes that are actually playable, dated by the build in which they went live. It does not list unreleased heroes from the game files — see below for why.
Dates are the build in which each hero first became playable, established by diffing the game files between consecutive builds. Heroes that predate the earliest build we hold are shown against that build rather than their true debut.
Why there are no upcoming heroes here
Deadlock's game files contain heroes that Valve has flagged as in development — unfinished, disabled, and not player-selectable. We read those flags on every ingest and exclude everything they cover from this entire site: not on a page, not in a patch diff, not in a search result.
It is a deliberate trade. Publishing them would rank for this query faster, and it would mean spoiling work that has not been shown and building a site on content Valve could reasonably ask us to remove. The moment one of those heroes becomes playable, they appear here — dated to the exact build.
Common questions
- Who is the newest Deadlock hero?
- The most recent hero to become playable is listed first on this page, with the patch date on which they were added.
- How often does Deadlock add new heroes?
- Irregularly. Valve adds heroes when they are ready rather than on a schedule, and the gaps between additions have ranged from weeks to months.
- What heroes are coming next to Deadlock?
- We do not publish unreleased content. Deadlock’s files contain heroes that are flagged as in development, and listing them would spoil work Valve has not chosen to show. This page covers heroes that are actually playable.
